** Is there any other real use case than escaping CamelCase (that couldn't be handled as well or better by nowiki markup)? I really dislike CamelCase links and introducing an escape character feels like using a kludge to fix a kludge. Are they needed to support legacy data? But so far, Creole does not have CamelCase links (right?). So why define an escape character?
