The link order ''needs'' to get resolved by consensus between the two groups. I personally feel that the Crossmark order is slightly more natural, but the MediaWiki order is far more commonly used, so the least-breakage approach would be to get Crossmark to change. I've emailed Ivan about this, but so far have gotten no response.
The link order is the most pressing issue. I've initiated a discussion with Ivan (first author on the Crossmark spec), and see a couple ways to move forward. See [Talk.Links] for my latest thoughts on the issue.
